Liverpool are planning to add a fan-inspired walkway to their Anfield expansion plans.
Work on the Main Stand is set to be completed in time for the Reds’ first home game of the new Premier League season and could include granite stone containing personalised messages from supporters on the public concourse outside the new stand.
The walkway is set to form part of a feature which will provide a link between Anfield and neighbouring Stanley Park, a popular route for fans on match days.
Also in the feasibility study submitted to Liverpool City Council are plans to install granite benches outside the stadium which celebrate various aspects of the club’s 124-year history.
Earlier this month, Anfield officials submitted plans to incorporate a wrap feature into the stadium’s exterior as well as a proposal for a new club megastore adjoining the Main Stand development.
