Liverpool chief delivers update on new kit deal

Liverpool have entered into talks with several companies over their next kit deal.

The Reds’ current partnership with New Balance is currently set expire at the end of the 2019/20, ending an eight-year relationship with the Boston-based firm.

Anfield chiefs formally enlisted the sportswear giant’s services in 2015 but previously worked with their affiliate company Warrior over three prior seasons.

An extension to the New Balance arrangement could be struck but Liverpool’s managing director Billy Hogan has revealed that other interested parties are also involved.

“We are in conversation with New Balance and we are in conversation with others as well,” he told The Drum.

“(The kit deal) is an incredibly important partnership – not just for the financial support it delivers for the club but also from the distribution standpoint.”

Liverpool are hopeful of commanding a record-breaking new partnership that will eclipse their current £45 million a year arrangement with New Balance.
