Liverpool in talks over record new kit deal

Liverpool are in talks over a record-breaking new kit deal.

New Balance have provided the Reds’ kits since 2015 but its existing contract is set to expire at the end of next season.

Discussions are now taking place with Anfield chiefs about an extension to the current arrangement which could become the biggest in world football.

According to the Daily Mail, New Balance would be expected to offer a minimum £30 million extension to their new deal which would see it become record-breaking.

It would represent a significant markup on the Boston-based sportswear firm’s current £45m arrangement as well as outstripping their Premier League rivals.

Manchester United’s £75m-a-year partnership with Adidas is the highest-earning deal while rivals Manchester City recently agreed a £50m deal with Puma.

Elsewhere, Arsenal and Chelsea both earn £60m annually from their own deals with Adidas and Nike.
