Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson will miss Liverpool’s showdown with Arsenal.
Both midfielders have not featured for the Reds due to suffering respective hamstring injuries.
Keita last featured for Jurgen Klopp’s side in a stalemate with Manchester City and had initially been forecast to return for last weekend’s win over Cardiff.
Henderson, meanwhile, Henderson was due to feature in Saturday’s trip to the Emirates Stadium after he was withdrawn during the win over Huddersfield.
But Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that the clash with Unai Emery’s side has come too soon for the pair, who are both working their way back to first-team training.
The Liverpool manager did, however, reveal that Mohamed Salah is expected to be available for the game despite struggling with slight wrist problem.
Salah was shown wearing a support on his arm this week, leading to injury fears.
“Hendo feels really good but probably at the start of the week, he will be back in training,” said Klopp.
“Naby [will return to training] the end of this week. It doesn’t make a big difference match-wise with how it looks.
“Mo is nothing really serious. It’s kind of an inflammation of the tendon.
“That’s pretty much all. It [the support] only needs protection so it has no influence.”
