Liverpool FC reveal ‘bold citrus’ third kit

Liverpool have unveiled a ‘bold citrus’ third kit for the 2017/18 season.

The vibrant strip was revealed by Philippe Coutinho, Simon Mignolet, Adam Lallana and James Milner in Hong Kong during the Reds’ pre-season tour.

Debuting in Wednesday’s Premier League Asia Trophy game with Crystal Palace, aspects of the club’s 125-year history were sought for the kit’s inspiration.

New Balance cited the original Kop stand’s wooden signage in its design process.

Featuring the 125th anniversary crest that adorns both the new home and away kits, the luminous orange shirt also bears a black colourway trim.

“Scoring in front of the Kop is the best feeling in the world,” said Lallana.

“It’s a special place for the whole LFC family so it’s brilliant to see a kit inspired by it.

“It definitely stands out, I like it and will be a nice reminder of the Kop every time we wear it.”

The goalkeeper kit features a ‘toxic green’ design with black crest, sponsor and NB branding with a tonal three colour sleeve pattern.

Both the third kits and the accompanying training wear are available to purchase both in Liverpool’s officials stores and through the club’s online store now.

The first 5,000 fans who purchase a full kids kit, mini kit or baby kit before 31st July will also receive a free Third Kit bag.
