Liverpool are hopeful of Adam Lallana’s injury comeback after he rejoined training this week.
Lallana was sidelined for up to a month by a thigh problem sustained during England’s World Cup qualifying win over Lithuania at the end of March.
But a post on the player’s official Instagram account confirmed that he has made tentative steps towards a return to action by featuring in training at Melwood.
Jurgen Klopp had forecast that the midfielder could return to action in time for the trip to Watford on May 1 after he missed the Reds’ previous four games.
Sunday’s visit of Crystal Palace to Anfield is still expected to come too early for Lallana but is set to be included for his side’s trip to Vicarage Road next Monday.
The 28-year-old has become an increasingly pivotal on-field figure since Klopp became Liverpool manager and recently signed a new three-year contract.
