Didier Deschamps has claimed that Mamadou Sakho’s Liverpool first-team exile is ‘very complicated’.
Sakho remains confined to the Reds’ under-23 side since being sent home from the club’s pre-season tour of America following multiple breaches of rules.
Hopes of the defender forcing his way back into Jurgen Klopp’s plans appear to have reached a dead end after he turned down numerous offers of loan spells.
Deschamps overlooked Sakho for France’s Euro 2016 squad, which reached the final in their homeland this summer, after his UEFA suspension was lifted.
But Les Bleus’ coach admits that the 26-year-old currently faces a predicament in hopes of restarting his career away from Liverpool.
He said: “I talked with Mamadou Sakho to see where abouts he is. It sounds very complicated.
“I do not know if there is another solution for him to go elsewhere because he does not play at Liverpool.
“It is up to him to find a solution so that he can express himself on the pitch.”
