Roberto Firmino has lifted the lid on the secret to his devastating partnership with Philippe Coutinho in Liverpool’s attack.
Between them, the Brazilian duo have amassed a combined 10 goals between them as the Reds continue to enjoy a flying start to the new season.
They have also been involved in Liverpool’s other goal gluts which have given Jurgen Klopp’s side an early start in the Premier League title race.
And Firmino hails a telepathic understanding with his compatriot, whom he hails as a ‘magician’, as the key catalyst in their blossoming link-up.
He said: “We think the same way. We know what we’re going to do before possessing the ball.
“We always understand each other in the games and with our skill everything turned out well.
“Philippe is a magician, who makes magic in each shot, who is always helping with scoring goals and his incredible moves.
“He is always doing his best on the field.”
Behind only Manchester City and Arsenal on goal difference, Firmino has warned Liverpool of the need to maintain monentum in the title race.
“If we do not continue on this track until the end of the season, no-one will remember us and we will not achieve anything,” he told LFC World
“We have to continue on this track until the end.”
