Jurgen Klopp has again opened the door for Steven Gerrard’s return to Liverpool.
Speculation that the former Reds captain could be heading back to Merseyside resurfaced after he bid a fond farewell to LA Galaxy.
In a post on Instagram, Gerrard thanked fans of the MLS club for their support over the past 18 months ahead of the season ending next month.
Klopp previously met with the 36-year-old during the American league’s downtime last year and has welcomed a potential Anfield homecoming.
He said: “Steven Gerrard, and it will be a really big surprise probably, is always so welcome at Liverpool FC. You cannot imagine how welcome.
“So there is absolutely no problem. But everything which we have already or will speak to each other about stays in this situation.
“That’s how I know Stevie and that’s how I am. But nobody should be worried that there is no space for Steven Gerrard, everything wil be fine, 100%.”
