Liverpool must harness the ‘power’ of their new-look Anfield home, Jurgen Klopp believes.
Saturday’s visit of Leicester City will be the first game to be played in front of the new Main Stand, which has increased the Reds’ capacity to 54,000.
And Klopp wants Liverpool to use the stadium’s change in look and feel as a source of strength during home games.
He said: “It’s a wonderful opportunity for us. Tuesday was the first time since the Chelsea game (in May) that I’d been to Anfield.
“It’s really impressive what they have done there – an outstanding job.
“When you stand in front of it, it’s really amazing. This is a good place and a good opponent with the champions coming.
“It was well deserved what they achieved last season and they’re still good.
“This is our first home game and with 8,000 more in the stadium – that’s more power and we should use this.”
