Liverpool have received three nominations for the Premier League’s annual awards.
Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold are among an eight-man shortlist for the English top flight’s Player of the Season for the 2021/22 campaign.
Salah leads the Golden Boot race with 22 goals and the assists chart with 13 contributions while also winning the FWA’s Footballer of the Year award.
Alexander-Arnold currently sits behind his teammate with 12 assists and has played a part in the Reds’ 21 clean sheets in the league so far this term.
Also in the running are Manchester City duo Kevin de Bruyne and Joao Cancelo, Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min, Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen.
Separately, the England international will go up against six of his compatriots in the battle to be crowned the top flight’s Young Player of the Season.
Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, is in contention for Manager of the Season.
The German has accrued 86 points from his side’s opening 36 matches to remain within touching distance as the title race enters its final fortnight.
Joining him in the five-man shortlist are City boss Pep Guardiola, Brentford’s Thomas Frank, Patrick Vieira at Crystal Palace and Eddie Howe of Newcastle.
Klopp previously claimed the accolade for the 2019/20 season, during which he had guided Liverpool to their long-awaited first Premier League title.
The winners will be decided by a public vote, ending at 6pm BST on May 16.
