Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has been named in the Germany 23-man squad for EURO 2016, following an excellent season with the Reds.
Germany manager Joachim Loew confirmed his squad today, with the UEFA deadline at 11pm tonight, and Can has been rewarded for his form with Liverpool.
Can, 22, signed for Liverpool in July 2014 from Bayer Leverkusen, however it has been under the management of German compatriot Jurgen Klopp that he has shown his best form.
Ever present at Anfield this season, Can made 49 appearances across all competitions for the Reds, playing a starring role in their run to the Europa League final.
Can received his first senior appearance from Loew in September 2015, winning four further caps, prior to his inclusion in today’s squad.
