Liverpool are planning to offer Jurgen Klopp a long-term contract extension.
Klopp is halfway through a six-year deal signed in 2016 but is set to be rewarded with a new deal after winning the Champions League in Madrid this weekend.
The German previously spent seven years with Mainz and Borussia Dortmund in his homeland and has set a similar time frame for his tenure as Reds manager.
But Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group are hopeful that Klopp can be convinced to recommit with his family happily settled in the Merseyside area.
A number of first-team players have extended their own stays at Anfield in recent months that will reach beyond the 51-year-old’s current contract expiry date.
Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino all signed up until summer 2023 while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson committed until 2024.
