Jurgen Klopp expects Manchester City to win the rest of their Premier League games this season.
Liverpool sit four points clear of the reigning champions, who are aiming to reduce the deficit to a solitary point with a win at Newcastle United on Tuesday.
Pep Guardiola’s side will play all of their next league games before the Reds as they bid to become the first team to successfully reclaim the title since 2009.
But Klopp sees no significance in City’s current run-in preceding Liverpool’s own.
He said: “For me it makes no difference.
“I expect City to win every game. I would expect them to beat Newcastle but I will still watch the game.
“I can only speak for myself. I don’t sit in front of the television and [flinch] when they score. It’s not like this.
“I really believe you have to do your own work and your own job if you want to have something.
“Don’t be concentrating on other teams. It doesn’t make sense and doesn’t help.
“Whatever result happens tonight, I expect to be one point up tomorrow before the game. That doesn’t bother me.”
