Klopp: Liverpool need to rediscover their mojo

Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool need to rediscover their away day ‘mojo’.

Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat to Red Star Belgrade became the third successive defeat that Klopp’s side have suffered on their travels in the Champions League.

The Reds remain top of Group C but qualification now rests on their fortunes in their final two games away to Paris Saint-Germain and a home clash with Napoli.

A win over the Ligue 1 champions on November 28 would be enough to secure Liverpool’s passage to the latter stages of Europe’s elite club competition.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side already bested last season’s finalists at the Stadio San Paolo in October while PSG are aiming to keep their own qualificaton hopes alive.

In light of Liverpool’s continental away day troubles, Klopp is taking nothing for granted.

He said: “I don’t say it is already serious if you lose twice.

“But we have to make sure it will not happen again as the next game is an away game (at PSG) before a very difficult home game against Napoli.

“It is too early to say how it is. We have to make sure in Paris that we do better. We will talk about that but we can’t change it.”

Reflecting on the loss to the Serbian champions, he added: “We had a lot of moments when we could get in control of the game and we didn’t do it, we just made the wrong decision.

“I saw a few games like this already and it is really difficult to find your mojo back.”
