Barcelona are reportedly eyeing a January move for Alberto Moreno.
Moreno has made just one appearance for Liverpool this season in last month’s Carabao Cup exit to Chelsea since being usurped at left-back by Andy Robertson.
But the Spain international could be set for a return to his homeland with the reigning La Liga champions as a potential long-term replacement to Jordi Alba.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca have drawn up a shortlist of targets which includes Moreno, Bayern Munich’s Juan Bernat and Valencia’s Jose Luis Gaya.
The Catalans are understood to be confident of a cut-price deal for the 26-year-old with his current Anfield contract set to expire at the end of this season.
However Lyon left-back Ferland Mendy is said to be Barcelona’s preferred choice.
Since arriving from Sevilla in summer 2014, Moreno has featured 126 times for Liverpool in all competitions and scored three goals during that time.
