Lyon in no rush to sell Fekir to Liverpool

Lyon’s president insists they are in no rush to sell Nabil Fekir to Liverpool.

Fekir is expected to become the Reds’ next signing of the summer following their £40 million capture of Monaco midfielder Fabinho on Monday.

The France international enjoyed a prolific campaign as he scored 21 times for Lyon as they finished runner-up to Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1.

But Jean-Michel Aulas insists that the club remain relaxed about Fekir’s future and does not expect any developments before the World Cup has finished.

He said: “I do not have a rendezvous with the Liverpool directors.

“We are perfectly calm. We try always to go in the same direction as the players. We listen to them carefully.

“We will certainly know more after the World Cup. But for now, he’s a Lyon player.”
