Liverpool midfielder Emre Can may have played his last game for the club.
Can has been in a race against time to prove his fitness for the Champions League final after spending almost two months sidelind by a back injury.
Jurgen Klopp set the Germany international a deadline of next Monday before making a decision on whether he will feature in the Kiev showpiece on May 26.
However Can is unlikely to make the game against Real Madrid with as he is set to undergo further scans to determine the extent of his recovery.
The midfielder’s decision to spend most of his rehabilitation in his native Frankfurt has done little to dampen speculation over his long-term future.
Can’s current deal is set to expire this summer, having broken off previous talks with Anfield officials, and can join another club on a free transfer.
Juventus remain in pole positions to land the 24-year-old’s signature despite interest from several Bundesliga clubs in recent months.
