Jurgen Klopp has claimed that Danny Ings, Emre Can and Divock Origi could all feature for Liverpool before the end of this season.
Origi became Anfield’s latest casualty after suffering ankle ligament damage following a challenge from Everton’s Ramiro Funes Mori during Wednesday’s Merseyside derby.
The Belgium international joins Ings, who has been absent since suffering a cruciate knee injury in October, and Can, ruled out of action for between four and six weeks with an ankle problem picked up in last week’s Europa League win over Borussia Dortmund.
Klopp is already refusing to rule out the possibility of Origi returning to action this term and has also given hope to both Can and Ings, with the latter pencilled in for a potential comeback date in a fortnight.
He said: “Danny’s in a really good way but he’s not back in team training yet. Maybe two weeks, I’m not too sure.
“It was four or five days ago when someone sent me the email saying it was two weeks until he could train with the team.
“I don’t know if he will be able to play again this season, that depends on how he recovers. He’s been out for a long time.”
“(Emre) is recovering much better,” he added.
““There might be a new timescale but I’m not telling you because there is no proof yet! But he is very good.”
