Jordan Henderson will miss Liverpool’s Boxing Day clash with Swansea City.
Henderson was substituted barely 10 minutes into the Reds’ draw with Arsenal on Friday after struggling with a strain picked up in the six-goal thriller.
And Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that the midfielder is already ruled out for Tuesday’s early evening encounter with the manager-less Swans.
Klopp is also concerned that Henderson could also be sidelined for the remainder of Liverpool’s run of games during the current festive period.
He said: “The problem is that Hendo will not feature – for sure, he’s out.
“That makes it even worse because we were really OK with injuries.
“And now it happened at the beginning of this period, or the middle of the period, whatever. It’s not too cool, but as I heard nobody else [is definitely out].
“[There are] a few knocks, as it always is, but they should be OK again and that’s the situation.”
