Salah’s agent dismisses Liverpool FC transfer claims

Mohamed Salah’s agent has shot down claims that Liverpool have struck a deal for the Roma winger.

Talks between the Reds and the Serie A giants are ongoing but reports had claimed that Jurgen Klopp had clinched his first major signing of the summer.

An apparent friend of Salah posted a photo of himself with the player on social media before declaring that the transfer would be concluded by Tuesday.

However Ramy Abbas Issa has taken to social media to dismiss those suggestions that the Egypt international’s proposed move to Anfield is imminent.

He said: “It’s amazing what one fan picture, along with a stab-in-the-dark caption, will lead many to believe… #fakenews.”

Roma are holding out for a fee in excess of £35 million, which would break Liverpool’s transfer record, before Salah is allowed to leave the Italian capital.

The 25-year-old previously turned down a move to Merseyside in 2014, when he opted for an unsuccessful spell with Chelsea instead.
