Liverpool are set to challenge Juventus in the race for Real Madrid’s Danilo.
Jurgen Klopp is preparing to overhaul the Reds’ back line this summer and is set to address Nathaniel Clyne’s position as the club’s first choice right-back.
The England defender has been largely unchallenged in the role but Klopp is preparing to provide fresh competition heading into the new campaign.
And reports suggest that the Liverpool manager will rival Serie A champions Juventus in their pursuit of Real full-back Danilo in the next transfer window.
Calciomercato claim that Klopp is an admirer of the Brazil international, who has struggled to stake a regular claim for the reigning European champions.
Danilo has made just nine La Liga appearances this season and could be allowed to leave Los Blancos should they receive offers in excess of £20 million.
Juve also retain a keen interest in the 25-year-old as they seek a long-term replacement for his compatriot Dani Alves, who joined from Barcelona last summer.
