Saudi to announce ‘investment’ at Liverpool FC

Leading figures from Saudi Arabia’s royal family are travelling to Anfield to announce an ‘investment agreement’.

HRH Faisal bin Turki bin Nasser will head up a delegation which will attend Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Arsenal on Saturday evening.

Saudi football side Al-Nassr confirmed on their official Twitter account that bin Nasser, the club’s president, will sign a new agreement in the UK tomorrow.

A press conference is set to follow at the Reds’ home connected to the event.

But the announcement is unlikely to be connected to investment in Liverpool despite owners Fenway Sports Group previously welcoming the prospect.

Al-Nassr have recently held talks with the Anfield club’s kit makers New Balance about a potential manufacturing deal for the Saudi Professional League outfit.
