The dates for Liverpool’s EFL Cup semi-final with Southampton have been confirmed.
Jurgen Klopp’s side stand potentially 180 minutes away from Wembley should they overcome the South Coast side in a two-legged affair next month.
The first leg will take place on Wednesday, January 11 with a 7.45 pm kick-off time while the return will be at Anfield a fortnight later, on January 25, at 8pm.
Both ties will be broadcast live on Sky Sports as the Reds bid to meet the winners of the other semi-final between Manchester United and Hull City.
It will mark the 30th anniversary since the two sides met in last four back in 1986-87, when Liverpool won 3-0 on aggregate following a goalless first leg.
More recenlty they faced Southampton in this competition exactly 12 months ago today, when a 6-1 rout at St Mary’s took them through to face Stoke City.
