Mirallas does not want to make Everton return

Kevin Mirallas has revealed he does not want to return to Everton.

The Belgium international is currently on his second spell away from Goodison Park after joining Fiorentina on a season-long loan during the summer.

To date Mirallas has made four appearances for the Serie A outfit after he was deemed surplus to requirement by Blues manager Marco Silva.

But the 31-year-old is hopeful of sealing a permanent stay with La Viola with only 12 months remaining on his existing Everton deal at the end of this season.

“My target is to remain here and convince Fiorentina to sign me on a permanent deal,” he told La Nazione.

“Fiorentina is a perfect club for me and the city is great. My family and I are in love with Florence.

“Everything is super here and I am ready to show that I am the right person in the right place.

“We are not living this situation as a temporary one but we want to make my stay permanent, it would be an extraordinary target for me.”

Mirallas’ half-season stay at Olympiakos last season ended in humiliation as the winger’s former club chose to terminate the loan arrangement ahead of schedule.
