Richarlison: Bernard signing will improve Everton

Richarlison believes that Bernard will be a signing who improves Everton.

The former Shakhtar Donestk winger is expected to finalise a free transfer to Goodison Park after touching down in England on Wednesday afternoon.

Bernard will become the Blues’ third signing of this summer following the captures of Richarlison from Watford and Barcelona defender Lucas Digne.

And the Brazilian forward admits that his compatriot would offer a great deal to Marco Silva’s side in the forthcoming Premier League campaign.

“Bernard is a great player for the Brazilian national team and I also followed his progress with Atletico Mineiro,” said Richarlison.

“I don’t know anything at the moment but if he were to come here he would be very welcome and he would help the team a great deal.

“He’s also a great guy. The door’s open for him to come.”

Yerry Mina could also move to the blue half of Merseyside before Thursday’s transfer deadline as his future with Barcelona appears increasingly bleak.

Richarlison revealed that he is good friends with the Colombian centre-back but has not discussed the prospect of a move to Everton with him.

He added: “Yerry Mina’s a great guy.

“He’s also a great dancer – when he played for Palmeiras he’d always celebrate with a dance!

“I don’t speak to him every day. We exchange messages and talk to each other like normal friends. I’ve not asked him questions about his future.

“That’s an issue for his people to deal with.”
