Marco Pierre White to host special Liverpool dinner party

Marco Pierre White is returning to Liverpool to support IncuBabies with a one-off event for food lovers.

The Michelin Star chef will host an exclusive event at his signature Steakhouse and Grill restaurant, located in the city’s Hotel Indigo, on June 13.

A special menu has been put together by White himself for the occasion, which was set up to help raise funds for Arrowe Park Hospital’s IncuBabies campaign.

The new charity at the Wirral hospital is raising money to build an extension for the intensive care baby unit in the women’s and children’s neonatal unit.

Marco said: “Returning to Liverpool is always very special to me as my dad was a chef here when I was little, so I feel very at home in the city.

“Having heard about the challenges being faced by the Arrowe Park special care baby unit, the steakhouse wanted to get behind them and do our bit to help.

“I am really looking forward to meeting the incredible women behind this campaign on the night!”

The unit is in need of funding as the hospital struggles to cope to with the demand and is the only unit available between Merseyside and Cheshire.

IncuBabies fundraiser Mandy Molby said: “When we were asked if we wanted Marco to support the IncuBabies campaign we were so giddy.

“He is an amazing and talented chef, who is so passionate about food and life.

“I cannot wait to meet him and share with him the amazing work that is being done to save these little lives in Arrowe Park Hospital.

“We simply must save this unit because if we don’t, the nearest unit will be in Leeds and that is just not good enough.”

Tickets for the event are £95, including a three-course meal, glass of champagne upon arrival and a signed copy of White’s book ‘Essentially Marco’.
