Liverpool’s geek community is gearing up for another incredible day as Geek Bazaar returns to the city.
Hosted at The Liner Hotel, the extravaganza promises a full day of fandom, creativity and community spirit — with plenty going on and something for everyone.
Running from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, May 17, Geek Bazaar is set to transform Liverpool into a hub of all things geek culture.
With over 40 traders and artists in attendance, visitors can expect a diverse marketplace featuring everything from collectibles and handmade crafts to unique artwork and books from local creators.
There will also be plenty of interactive entertainment lined up throughout the day. Gaming fans can test their skills in tournaments featuring classics like Mario Kart and Street Fighter II.
Cosplay enthusiasts can take part in the Empire Sector Cosplay Competition.
With categories for under and over-15s – and a £50 cash prize up for grabs in the older group – the competition is expected to be one of the highlights of the day.
In addition to the competitions, attendees can enjoy cosplay panel talks, meet fellow fans and immerse themselves in a vibrant atmosphere filled with characters from across countless fandoms.
Whether you’re into gaming, anime, comics, or film, there’s something for everyone.
Comic book legend Nigel Parkinson, the official Dennis The Menace illustrator of Beano, Dandy and DC Thomson fame, and also Kev Sutherland of Beano, Dandy, Red Dwarf, Marvel and others, will be appearing at this year’s Bazaar.
Entry is priced at just £5 on the door, with children under 10 admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
Organiser Phillip Larner said: “These events are such fun and there’s so much to see and do throughout the day.
“Our first event of 2026 in March was another great success and we have another huge one lined up this month, an Anime Bazaar, a film festival and lots more lined up throughout the year.
“It’s super affordable and accessible too — something that’s really important to us.”
