Liverpool Book Festival unveil more big names

Liverpool Book Festival has announced more big names for its 2026 return.

Taking place at BoxPark in Cain’s Brewery Village on Sunday, March 8, the event will feature over 60 of the region’s finest authors signing and selling books direct.

Comedy greats Stan Boardman and Ricky Tomlinson will appear alongside entertainer Asa Murphy, viral YouTuber Shaun Attwood and hypnotist Alan Bates.

Also confirmed for the event are Marvel’s Tim Quinn and Alan Cowsill, The Beano’s Nigel Parkinson, The Walking Dead illustrator Charlie Adlard and poet Keith Wilson.

Sunday Times bestseller Caroline Corcoran and international author Jane Costello join Beatles expert Colin Hall and Canadian author Randolph Peacock on the bill.

The festival is a unique opportunity for book lovers to connect in person with some of the region’s finest authors and buy their books directly.

Artisan stalls selling artsy products and even tarot readings, street food, live acoustic music from talented local artists, workshops, talks from special guests, cosplay characters, children’s activities are among other features at the event.

There will be a dedicated children’s zone at the event featuring an array of activities throughout the day.

This year’s opening festival donated more than £1,000 to local charities with the same planned for proceeds from next March’s event.

A percentage of ticket sales will be donated to the Lord Mayor Of Liverpool’s charity to help fund more youth workers in the region. Meanwhile, the other charity that will benefit is Bootle-based Y Kids which gives children in the area more opportunities.

Organiser Justin Hopper from La Vida Liverpool magazine said: “I’m really excited to go even bigger this time with more amazing special guests and new additions such as cosplay characters, more children’s activities and VIP tickets for those wanting an elevated experience and access to special guest talks.

“The feedback from the first event was unreal and it was enjoyed by all guests, authors, publishers, traders and performers.

“Once again, it’s important for me to keep it accessible and affordable for all so ticket prices are remaining low – with food, drinks and freebies added in that negate the cost of them.

“This event will now take place twice a year too – with some new faces each time and exciting new features at each event!”

Tickets are priced from £15 and many include drinks tokens or food vouchers. For all prices and more information, visit skiddle.com/whats-on/Liverpool/Boxpark-Liverpool/Liverpool-Book-Festival-Mar-26/41435963/
