Liverpool residents, businesses and city stakeholders are being invited to have their say on part of the planned Liverpool Waters development.
Announced last year, Liverpool Waters is a £5.5 billion project set to transform the city’s waterfront in the coming years.
Covering some 60 hectares and spanning 2.3 km of the city’s famous waterfront, it will see the creation of a new mixed-use city district.
A major part of the scheme will be Plaza 1821, a residential tower comprising of 105 one and two bedroom apartments as well as ground floor retail/amenity outlets.
And now residents, businesses and city stakeholders are being invited to share their thoughts on the scheme before the work begins.
Neil Baumber, Peel Land and Property’s development director for residential, said: “Liverpool Waters is certainly one of the most dynamic regeneration projects in the city’s history and it’s now really starting to take shape.
“People in the city and beyond are really excited about what’s to come as we are at Peel. As part our “Strategic Waters” strategy, we are committed to creating a vibrant, energised and distinctive new part of the city, a place where people want to work, play and live – that’s where Plaza 1821 comes in.
“People sit at the very heart of Liverpool Waters, hence why we’re encouraging everybody to come along to the public consultation to see our plans and share their thoughts.”
Martin Davies, director of development at Regenda, added: “Plaza 1821 is a landmark project for Regenda.
“It marks our biggest ever investment – made even more special because it’s right here in Liverpool, where we’re proudly based.
“The vision for Liverpool Waters is truly spectacular and something that will further enhance our city region.
“We recognised this unique opportunity to work with Peel to create a distinctive scheme with a ‘wow factor’ worth of Liverpool’s waterfront.
“We’re really excited to share our vision with residents and businesses alike and we’re looking forward to hearing what they have to say about our plans.”
Those who wish to share their views can attend a public consultation on Friday 10th February, 11 am – 6 pm at the Liverpool Waters Marketing Suite, number 12 Price’s Dock.
