Liverpool FC to resolve Joe Allen’s future upon Euro 2016 return

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has pledged to resolve Joe Allen’s future at the club.

Allen will return to Anfield following his exploits with Wales at Euro 2016 this summer that saw him named by UEFA in their team of the tournament.

Now in the final year of his current Reds deal, however, talks have yet to be held with the 26-year-old about the prospect of extending his stay.

Sevilla and former club Swansea City have both expressed an interest in Allen.

“We will find a solution but it’s not done,” Klopp told BBC Radio 5 live.

“Obviously Joe Allen is a good player. We never doubted this. He played a good European Championship, like the whole Welsh team.

“We have to make decisions, we have to find solutions. We have to talk to the player, ask the player and think about our situation. That’s how it works.”
