A woman’s body has been recovered from the water at the Canning Half Tide Dock.
Emergency services received reports of a woman in the water close to the Billy Fury statue at the Liverpool waterfront at 8.40am on Sunday.
Police, ambulance and the coast attended the scene, where a local woman in her 30s was confirmed as deceased.
Detectives from Merseyside Police have informed the woman’s next of kin with a formal identification set to take place shortly.
and do not believe that death was under suspicious circumstances.
