Jonathan Woodgate has become the latest addition to Liverpool’s backroom set-up.
The former England international played for a host of clubs, including Real Madrid and Tottenham, during an 18-year playing career that ended last season with Middlesbrough.
And after being released by home town club, Woodgate has opted to join Jurgen Klopp’s operations at Anfield as a European scout.
Liverpool have assigned the 36-year-old to assess players in Portugal and Spain, an area he knows well from a three-year spell in LaLiga.
