Fabinho has been left out of Liverpool’s pre-season travelling party.

Jurgen Klopp’s side flew out to Germany on Saturday for a training camp ahead of their friendlies with Karlsruher and Greuter Furth next week.

But Fabinho was a notable omission from the 32-man squad that will set up base in Baden-Wurttemberg amid growing uncertainty over his Anfield future.

The Brazil international has attracted interest from Al-Ittihad, who hope to make him the latest addition to Saudi Arabia’s growing football boom.

A £40 million bid is expected to arrive within the coming days which will almost certainly bring Fabinho’s five-year stay with the Reds to an end.

However Jordan Henderson still travelled with Klopp’s charges despite his own links with a move to Saudi Pro League outfit Al Ettifaq continuing to intensify.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard recently took charge of the club and is keen to make his former teammate one of the first signings of his fledgling reign.

Henderson is weighing up Al Ettifaq’s offer, which bring the curtain down on a 12-year spell on Merseyside where he has spent large parts as club captain.
