Henderson weighing up Saudi Pro League offer

Jordan Henderson is weighing up an offer to end his Liverpool career.

Interest in Henderson has emerged from Al-Ettifaq, where former teammate and predecessor as captain Steven Gerrard was recently appointed manager.

The Reds are yet to receive any approach from the Saudi Pro League club but one will be made imminently should the 33-year-old appears open to the move.

Henderson is expected to hold talks with Jurgen Klopp about his first-team prospects across the forthcoming season ahead of his eventual decision.

The signings of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have set the wheels in motion for a potential overhaul of Liverpool’s midfield ranks.

Several of Henderson’s cohorts in the engine room are also being courted by the Saudi Pro League with Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara high on that list.

Roberto Firmino has already joined the country’s champions Al Ahli after a success-laden eight years at Anfield came to an end earlier this summer.
