Liverpool will be without Fabinho for their clash with Leicester City.
Fabinho initially returned to the Premier League champions’ squad for their 4-1 dismantling by Manchester City last weekend after a brief absence.
But the Brazil international is now set to miss Saturday’s trip to the King Power Stadium with what Jurgen Klopp revealed is a ‘little muscle issue’.
Klopp also admitted that he is unsure if Fabinho will be available for next week’s double header with RB Leipzig in the Champions League and Everton.
“Fab will not be available,” confirmed the Liverpool manager.
“He suffered again a little muscle issue, so will be out for this game.”
“I don’t know in the moment (if he will play in the next week). We will see. I really don’t know.”
Naby Keita will also be absent against Brendan Rodgers’ side this weekend due to a hamstring injury which has sidelined him since late December.
“It was a hamstring, a slightly bigger one,” added Klopp.
“He is back on the pitch but not with the team yet.
“He is in individual training sessions – hard training sessions.
“It is the final stages of his rehab, but [he is] still not there.”
