Liverpool’s new £50 million training complex will be sponsored by AXA.
The Premier League champions’ long-awaited move to the state-of-the-art base in Kirkby is set to finally be completed in mid to late November.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will also bid a fond farewell to their existing Melwood base, which has served the Reds for the best part of seven decades.
A fusion of the first-team and youth operations at the combined facility breaks new ground in the Anfield club’s history alongside a first naming rights deal.
Technical kit sponsors AXA’s name will adorn the new facility, the AXA Training Centre, in an extension of their current commercial arrangement.
“The expansion of AXA’s partnership to include the naming rights of the club’s new Training Centre makes perfect sense,” said LFC chief executive Billy Hogan.
“We have already seen their emphasis on driving health, wellbeing, confidence and self-belief, and so deepening their relationship in the field of training makes this partnership a great fit.
“We’re pleased to have AXA on board as we start this new chapter at the club and are proud to expand our relationship with a brand that shares our common values and aspirations both on and off the pitch.”
