Momo Sissoko believes Sadio Mane is more likely to join Real Madrid than Mohamed Salah.
Two of Liverpool’s first-choice attack have regularly been linked with moves to the Spanish giants, with Mane said to be high on Zinedine Zidane’s wish list.
Both the Senegal international and Salah routinely dismissed the prospect of a switch to the Bernabeu by insisting they remain happy at the Anfield club.
But ex-Reds midfielder Sissoko feels Jurgen Klopp’s side may benefit from Salah’s potential departure due to their upcoming crop of youngsters.
He also refused to discount the possibility of Los Blancos making a play for Mane due to Zidane’s continuing admiration of the prolific forward.
“I don’t know if Salah will stay at Liverpool,” Sissoko told EuropaCalcio.it.
“If he left, it could also be a good thing for Liverpool – they’re a clever club and they’d know how to replace him.
“There are some fantastic youngsters who have what it takes to play for the Reds and put in top performances.
“I think Sadio Mane is likelier to [join Real Madrid] because he has the characteristics that Zidane wants. He really rates him.
“I think Sadio Mane will go to Real Madrid.”
