Plan for an expanded Anfield Road Stand have been revised following public consultation.
Liverpool confirmed on Monday that initial proposals to completely close the road outside the stadium will instead be altered to reroute the highway.
The rebuilt stand is set to see a further 7,000 seats added to the Reds’ stadium, taking its overall capacity to beyond 61,000 upon completion.
Discussions took place with local residents in December and concerns over public access to Anfield Road are now set to be acted upon by the club.
Andy Hughes, Liverpool’s chief operating officer, said: “We have listened carefully to all the feedback we received during the first stage of our consultation.

“The aim of that exercise was to inform the design process of the proposals which is exactly what we have done by relooking at how we retain access for local residents through Anfield Road.
“These updated proposals will be shared again in full with local residents, businesses and supporters during our second stage consultation which will take place next month.”
Liverpool will hold a second stage of public consultation from February 6.
