Daniel Sturridge admits his Liverpool future now lies at Jurgen Klopp’s mercy.
Sturridge endured another season which was disrupted by regular injury spells that restricted him to a total of 27 outings for the Reds in all competitions.
Klopp is set to make a ruling during the close season on whether the England international will continue to feature in his long-term plans at Anfield.
And Sturridge, who has two years remaining on his current deal, concedes that the club have the final say on where his immediate future lies.
Asked if he will be at Liverpool next season, he replied: “That is for the club to decide.
“For myself, I am enjoying my football. My job is to go on the pitch and put my best foot forward.
“There is nothing to discuss really. I have two years left on my deal and I am happy here.”
He added: “I would have liked to have played more but I am grateful to the club for the opportunities and the manager has been really nice to me.”
