Tyias Browning has left Everton to join Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande.
Browning rose through the ranks at Goodison Park but found first-team appearances hard to come by with only nine during his senior career.
The defender was sent on a succession of loan spells at Wigan Athletic, Preston North End and most recently Sunderland, during their 2017/18 campaign.
But Browning made a clean break with the Blues on Wednesday in securing a move to the star-studded Chinese Super League side for an undisclosed fee.
Italy’s World Cup-winning captain Fabio Cannavaro is in charge of Guangzhou while ex-Barcelona forward Paulino will be among the 24-year-old’s new teammates.
Browning made his Everton debut as a substitute in the 2014 Merseyside derby with Liverpool, where Phil Jagielka equalised with a stoppage-time thunderbolt.
He spent this season as a regular in David Unsworth’s Under-23 side.
