Everton will entertain Southampton in the Carabao Cup’s third round.
Marco Silva’s side secured their place courtesy of Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Rotherham United, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin scoring a brace.
The Blues have already welcomed the South Coast outfit to Goodison Park this season as goals from Richarlison and Theo Walcott sealed a 2-1 victory.
Meanwhile Everton have confirmed that Sandro Ramirez has joined Real Sociedad on a loan, barely 24 hours after featuring against Rotherham.
The striker spent the second half of last season with Sevilla and has now secured a return to La Liga for the remainder of the current campaign.
Silva admitted after the win over the Championship outfit that he hoped the Spain under-21 international could be convinced to stay at Goodison.
“I would like [if] he can stay in our squad because he’s a player I believe [in],” he said at the time.
“Sometimes the players want to play more, they want to play in this position and sometimes it’s not easy to try to keep all of them.
“It will be a big competition with our players. It’s not easy to play in our starting XI for all – not just Sandro – and of course Sandro wants to play.”
