RB Leipzig set to stage third Lookman bid

RB Leipzig are readying a third bid for Everton winger Ademola Lookman.

Lookman has been routinely targeted by the Bundesliga outfit this summer despite the Blues rejecting successive offers of £12 million and £14m with add-ons.

Leipzig sporting director and interim manager Ralf Rangnick claimed the 20-year-old wants a return after spending the second half of last season on loan.

He scored five goals in 11 appearances as the Red Bull-owned club went on to book their place for the Europa League’s qualifying stages.

Everton are said to be holding out for a £20m valuation before considering parting with Lookman, who joined from Charlton Athletic in 2017.

New director of football Marcel Brands had hinted that the player would be afforded regular first-team opportunities at Goodison Park under Marco Silva.

But Lookman is understood to instead favour of a return to Germany.
