Everton plot summer overhaul without Allardyce

Everton are reportedly plotting a summer overhaul without Sam Allardyce.

Allardyce has intimated hopes of remaining in the Goodison Park hot seat beyond the end of this season wth the club’s Premier League status now assured.

But the Daily Mirror claim that the former England boss will be offloaded as part of Farhad Moshiri’s plans to transform the Blues’ fortunes in the coming months.

Paulo Fonseca is said to be the preferred candidate to succeed Allardyce, having recently guided Shakhtar Donetsk to the last 16 of the Champions League.

His side are also on course to retain their Ukrainian Premier League title as they hold a current six-point lead over their closest challengers Dynamo Kiev.

Allardyce’s boardroom ally Steve Walsh also risks upheaval with PSV Eindhoven’s sporting director Marcel Brands identified as another potential incoming.
