Everton are reportedly tracking PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn.
Bergwijn has attracted interest from around Europe this season after managing five goals and six assists in 22 games to help his side move top of the Eredivisie.
According to ESPN, the Goodison Park club are among those scouting the 20-year-old as they ramp up preparations for the summer transfer window.
Bergwijn fits into Everton’s long-standing remit of adding promising young talent that can be developed into first-team stars in the coming years.
Jordan Pickford, Ademola Lookman, Henry Onyekuru and Nikola Vlasic are among a host of players drafted in during the previous 12 months alone.
But Everton are expected to face stern opposition for Bergwijn’s signature with Premier league rivals Tottenham credited with a long-term interest in the starlet.
