Two teenagers have been charged over a stabbing in Newsham Park.
Police were called by paramedics to the bandstand at the west end of the park at 5.55pm on Monday after a man was found with wounds to his body.
The 19-year-old was rushed to hospital and is now in a stable condition.
Detectives have now charged two people in connection with the attack.
David Whiteley, 19, from Old Swan will face counts of attempted murder, possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place and possession of ketamine.
A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is also charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place.
Both are due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Friday, August 23.
