Three people have been charged over a robbery in Liverpool city centre.
At around 5pm on Monday it was reported to police that a 17-year-old boy and his friend were attacked by four males while in Chavasse Park.
The victim suffered facial injuries in the incident which required hospital treatment while his coat containing a mobile phone was also stolen.
Detectives have confirmed that three individuals have since been charged with offences including robbery, assault and fraud over the attack.
Souheib Alkhatib from Everton and Mostafa Qarnoub of Bootle, both 18, were detained alongside a 16-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons.
They appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Police have also issued CCTV images of a further male who may have information that may assist with enquiries in connection with the incident.

Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: “I am appealing to the male featured in these images, or anyone who recognises him to come forward.
“We believe he could hold information that could help with our continuing enquiries.”
