The Britannia is P&O’s flagship and it stopped off in Liverpool today as part of her maiden voyage around the British Isles.
The Queen officially named her in March and now has become the largest ship in terms of passenger numbers to visit Liverpool’s Cruise terminal.

We were able to visit the ship, whilst docked in Liverpool to take a sneak peak at the decor and review the entertainment, activities and food on offer on the ship.
Britannia has a total of 1,837 cabins, with 64 suites. For the first time on a P&O cruise ship, all outside cabins have balconies.
It’s a real treat for foiodies, with 13 bars and 13 restaurants and cafés.
TV chef James Martin has developed his own Cookery Club on board, with celebrity chefs such as Mary Berry, James Tanner, Antonio Carluccio, Paul Rankin and Pierre Koffman.
Eric Lanlard has a patisserie in the ship’s atrium called Market Café and has created a bespoke afternoon tea service at the Epicurean restaurant and Atul Kocchar has designed an upmarket Indian eaterie, Sindhu.

The ship features a 936-seat theatre, four pools – with a dedicated pool for teenagers.
She has a three-deck high atrium with an illuminating sculpture and has Oasis, the largest British spa at sea, a gym and a multi-million pound art collection.

During her summer season, Britannia will sail to the Mediterranean, Norwegian fjords, the Baltic, Canary Islands and Atlantic Islands. In winter, the ship will sail to the Caribbean for cruises there.
