Liverpool John Lennon Airport has announced the appointment of its new chairman.
Clive Condie will head operations at the Speke terminal after a distinguished career in a variety of executive roles in the aviation, infrastructure and logistic industries.
As former chairman of London Luton Airport, his career includes senior leadership positions held within companies invested in several UK and international airports.
He takes over from previous chair Robert Hough, who stepped down last October after more than 11 years on the board at the city’s fast-growing airport hub.
Condie joins the board as LJLA continues to build on its recent success and record passenger numbers, with 20 airline-operated planes based at LJLA for the first time.
He said: “Liverpool John Lennon Airport is a great success story and I am really looking forward to joining the board at this exciting time.
“I am honoured to be taking over from Robert Hough and working with John Irving and his team to play my part in contributing to the airport’s ambitious growth plans and the economic benefits that it will bring to the Liverpool region.”
