Liverpool-based Protein Works has seen a bumper sales boost in early January.
Headquartered in Speke, the lifestyle nutrition brand welcomed civic leaders to its state-of-the-art campus last Friday (January 16) to see operations first-hand.
Liverpool City Region Mayor Steve Rotheram and local MP Maria Eagle toured the facility, meeting teams across product development, operations, supply chain and marketing.
They also had the chance to sample the company’s line of protein shakes and meal replacement products during the site visit.
The dignitaries also heard about Protein Works’ record-breaking start to the year, with online sales in the first two weeks of the year up 15% year-on-year.
January is one of the lifestyle nutrition brand’s biggest sales moments of the year, and they’re off to a rocketing start.
Maria Eagle said: “It’s been brilliant to see a real homegrown success story for a North-west business based in South Liverpool.
“Protein Works shows exactly what British business is about, innovation, hard work and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
“I look forward to following the company’s journey as it continues to grow.”
Laura Keir, CEO of Protein Works, added: “Liverpool has always been a city that dares to innovate, and we’re proud to continue that legacy with PW Campus.
“Welcoming Mayor Steve Rotheram and Maria Eagle MP on the back of record-breaking festive and January sales is a real highlight.
“Investing in our people, our products, and our facilities is what drives our success, and we’re just getting started! We valued their support, and it was a pleasure to host them.”
